Unfortunately, after the 1992 summit, much of the original intent of Agenda 21 seems to have been ignored, lost, or manipulated for political and economic purposes. Because of this, we have chosen to rewrite the Agenda 21 document and rename it “People’s Agenda 21″ with three primary purposes:
● Simplify it and make it readable and understandable ● Remove government involvement, sponsorship, and implementation ● Outline strategies that regular people with modest means can implement on their own
With these three goals in mind we hope we can reintroduce Agenda 21 as the People’s Agenda 21 and empower people on the community level with the social and environmental solutions for the betterment of all.
